Mt. Angel is a small town located in Marion County, Oregon. It is situated about 18 miles northeast of Salem, the state capital, and has a population of approximately 3,700 people. Today, Mt. Angel is known for its Bavarian-style architecture and its annual Oktoberfest celebration, which draws hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the country. The festival, which has been held since 1966, features live music, food, beer, and a variety of family-friendly activities. In addition to Oktoberfest, Mt. Angel is also home to a number of other attractions as well as many historical buildings and homes.
The town is surrounded by scenic farmland and is nestled near the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range. Overall, Mt. Angel is a charming and unique town that offers visitors a glimpse into its rich cultural heritage and the natural beauty of the Willamette Valley.
